BRAUER Maschinentechnik AG

History

In August 1979 the young engineer, Bernhard Brauer, registered his business in Dingden.

Repair and assembly work for the paper industry were the areas of growth for the young business.

BRAUER Maschinentechnik GmbH was founded in the year 1987. With 16 employees at the time and in new business premises at the Bocholt site, gear construction and repairs for almost all industrial applications could be developed.

Just a few years later in 1995 and 1998 strategic expansions took place to give the company a better and wider position on the market. Gears with up to 35t were already being processed at this time.

In the year 2001, the limited company was changed into a joint stock company. This created more opportunities for employees to participate in the company's success and set up the perfect structures for permanent development for the future.

In the following years, the production areas were continuously expanded and extensive investments were made in plant and machinery.

Due to the last investments in office and production capacities in the years 2017 to 2019, BRAUER Maschinentechnik AG now has a total area of around 15,000 m². With the new premises, the customer wishes in gear service are to be fulfilled in an optimal way in the future as well.

With currently 55 employees, around 600-700 gear units are processed each year. The gearboxes come from all industrial sectors and generally range from a few 100kg to 100t unit weight or more.

Today's board members and representatives of the second generation, all of whom have also been with the company for many years, will continue to successfully develop the company through smart strategies in the future.
